   My husband Rob and I are the owners of this vacation rental. We were stunned by the City Council’s decision to deny us our permit when we have operated almost 3 full years with little to no complaints from neighbors. It is a sad day in our city when a business is closed for no valid reason other than a philosophical difference. Unlike practically every other licensed vacation rental in Napa, we live on site with our family and have the ability to manage very closely, our vacation rental. We greet our guests and are available to monitor things. We have recently challenged the City’s decision by appealing to a higher court for an independant judicial review- where politics which closely determine city councilmembers decisions will have no bearing on a judge who is appointed- not elected.
